History of Hard Candy Christmas Song

The Christmas song Hard Candy Christmas is certainly one of my favorites. Dolly Parton brings something for the song that no one else could ever. Not only is it a Christmas favorite everywhere however it tugs at your heartstrings at the same time. The music, the lyrics, and Dolly Parton's sweet voice make vid number 1 Christmas song for a long time now.

This Christmas song was originally written Carol Hall who was a composer/lyricist for the musical The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. The song was then recorded generating famous by Dolly Parton if the song was adapted to the silver screen in 1982 in the event it premiered by Universal pictures.

Inside the original sort of the song, girls sang it in refrain since they were leaving the whorehouse after it was ordered to close. Inside the movie, Dolly Parton sang it a solo using the girls singing backup. This hadn't take long for your song going to number eight around the country billboard charts.

There are lots of rumors boating about what Hard Candy Christmas stands for. However, two of them carry obtain the most sense. Inside the movie, Burt Reynolds who literally sheriff had broken Dolly Parton's heart and she said hello will be a hard candy Christmas but she had not let sorrows bring her way down. However, hard candy Christmas can also indicate the Christmases' that Dolly Parton had becoming an adult. Within an interview, she once declared you usually knew what sort of Christmas you're having like a kid by the sort of candy her parents bought. Hard candy außergewöhnliche streuartikel would be a rare treat and toys were unheard of on Christmas morning. Therefore, the title as well as the lyrics from the song could be taken both ways. Still regardless of how you decide to interpret it Hard Candy Christmas is really a timeless classic which will tug around the heartstrings of men and women every Christmas for our children and grandchildren.

While Dolly Parton is the name related to Hard Candy Christmas it has been recorded by other singers over the years. Probably the most notable are Rupaul in 1997, Dan Bryk and Sixpence None the Richer singer Leigh Nash in 2006. The Venture Brothers also recorded the song in 2005.

I understand I am listening, humming at singing Hard Candy Christmas when the holidays roll around again this year that i'm sure others will as well.
